We don't compromise on quality but are pragmatic in our approach that speed to production is a key differentiating factor when you're an early stage company and changing the status quo. We work fast but keeping tech debt in check is important to us. Prior to being merged into master, everything goes through our automated tests. We deploy to production multiple times a week. In that sense, we're not dogmatic and believe that practice trumps theory.
We operate in two-week cycles but only occasionally break away from it if we're working on projects that can't be neatly boxed into two-week chunks.
Most of our features are built in a highly collaborative fashion, where product will define the context and requirements, design will put together high-fidelity mockups, but as engineer you will still be putting on your thinking cap and paying attention to the user experience, what we're building, and how we're doing it. As an engineer, you will work closely with product and design. We're a small but nimble engineering team where every engineer owns a feature end to end.
